A Prepared Place for Prepared People

· Food For Thought,Hell Week

Welcome to August and another day of 100 degrees. These temperatures got me to thinking—Hell is not for me!

It’s Hell Week: Beat the Heat

As a child, I'd hear people say things and wonder where those words came from. Some common sayings may have come from the Bible and some—not. As an adult, I’ve learned to search for myself.

Here is once such phrase, “Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people”. Those words sound like they could really be in the Bible. If heaven is a prepared place for prepared people, what about hell?

My search came across this, Matthew 25:31-46 provides an account of how the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) will judge the nations and records the eternal destiny for the righteous and the unrighteous.

Matthews 25 records this:

The Righteous: "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:…into eternal life"

The Unrighteous: “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:… And these will go away into everlasting punishment."

According to the Bible:

Heaven is a prepared place: for those who accept the words of the Father and follow them.

Hell is prepared place: for those who don’t accept the Father's words and don’t follow His command. They are cursed by God—the unrighteous.

God has prepared a place for me in heaven, not because I'm good, but because I've accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.... To God be the Glory! Because this 100 dgree heat is too much for me... I can't do hell.

Beat the Heat and Hell’s Fury: Accept Jesus Christ as Savior and follow His commands.
