Friday are FABULOUS and so are "YOU"!
In an effort to become even more FABULOUS..... you should also consider becoming A Woman of Godly Influence (AWOGI). Just in case you don't know where to begin, here is a FABULOUS tip...Begin in the Word of God!
The AWOGI Bingo card is a great way to get started. Today's post features an image of the AWOGI Bingo card. Similar to the game of bingo most of us are familiar with, you find a row of letters A-W-O-G-I across the top of the card. Below each letter, you will find Bible scripture references. Each reference tells the story of a woman in the Bible.
Choose a Bible scripture reference and read something about the life of a woman who lived during Bible days. Reading her story (the good, the bad and the ugly) can provide insight towards becoming AWOGI. In most cases reading the entire chapter will paint the picture, but more reading may be required—like the entire book of the Bible. Trust me, her life situations are still relevant in today's society.
For example: G:Judges 16:6, references the story of Samson and Delilah:
So Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you.”
As you research this story (read the entire chapter), you will find that Samson was given extraordinary strength. He had been ordained by God to use this strength to bring vengeance upon the Philistine people—who lived contrary to God. Because of his lust for women he became entrapped in the arms of Delilah (a Philistine woman) who betrayed him for money. She gave Samson the first lap dance and lured him into telling her what made him so strong. Using his secret against him, she cut off his hair rendering him powerless to defend himself from the Philistine soldiers. The soldiers captured Samson, put his eyes out and threw him into prison.
Challenge
After researching and reading the entire story ask yourself questions like this:
- What can I learn from Delilah?
- What can I learn from Samson?
- What can I learn from God?
- Do I possess any Delilah traits?
- Based on what I have learned about Delilah, what steps should I make towards become A Woman of Godly Influence (AWOGI)?
