Compliance...

· Food For Thought,ME Month

When we act according to instructions or commands, we are in compliance.

Most AWOGI subscribers are over 40. By this point in life our many expereicesbe it doctor appointments, school assignments, or work requirementshave given specific instructions to follow. Whether it’s medication, food restrictions, complete this course, or go here and do this, we've all had opportunities to experience what compliance looks like.

But how many of us make our own presumptions, follow our own guidelines, make our own decisions about what we will and won't do. In a word we've all been non-compliant.

2 Kings 22:13 says this, “Go, inquire of the Lord for me, for the people and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of the Lord that is aroused against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.

This Old Testament reading gives insight of God’s wrath upon a people who failed to comply with His words “not obeyed to do according to all that is written”.

All of us are guilty of non-compliance.

Whether we like it or not; agree with it or not; or admit it or not, God has an answer for non-compliance. We don’t set the standard, God does. We can’t determine what’s in a person’s heart, only God can. Not only does God set the standard, He is the only one who can establish the consequence or set us free.

After reading the Book of the Law, the king in this story was convicted by the word and prepared in seek God’s perspective. Though his forfathers didn't follow God's instructions his act of compliance moved the heart of God.

September is “ME” Month

Let's encourage each other to seek God's perspective and walk in His ways.

Please Stay On The Path. Consider what moves the heart of God and comply with that.
