The Word of God is filled with instruction, direction, and encouragement. But often times our focus is drawn to other things that drown out God’s perspective. 

Fill yourself with elements that build up and bring joy. Here is a scripture to usher in a new beginning. 

Psalms 65:11 says, “You crown the year with Your goodness and Your paths drip with abundance.” 

I love this verse! It's so vivid, I can reach out and grab it claiming it for my very own.

I’m not a Bible scholar, but  this scripture is part of a prayer that praises God for His salvation and His providence—at least that's what's listed in the subscript section of my Bible. 

It's with great anticipation that I look to God to crown my year with His goodness. And I look forward to walking along His abundant paths. 

Whatever this year brings, I thank God for his involvement in my life, for His presence within my heart, and for His spirit in my soul.
