Fridays are FABULOUS... and so is Dodging Drama.
Drama like mess has increasingly infiltrated our society. It’s witnessed almost in every facet of our lives, on television, radio, and social media. The over exaggeration or uncontrolled emotions about a situation or individual shared with others to get a reaction may be referred to as drama. Some people love it, while others are disgusted by it.
Drama like mess is often initiated with bogus gossip and then fueled by slander, which we as believers should not partake in. According to Prov 16:28 NIV “Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; liars pay close attention to slander."
Dodge the drama; it’s not worth your blessing! Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.” Regardless of any situation, you don’t have to accept drama, nor have any dealings with it. “Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down" (Prov 26:20 NIV).
Tips to Stay Clear of Drama:
- Reject gossiping
- Know your boundaries
- Pray for those around you who seem to thrive on drama
- Ask yourself what would Jesus do?
