At the risk of sounding redundant, many feel that 2020 has been a challenging year to say the least. We have experienced “loss” at a great level: loved ones, jobs, relationships, possessions, and the list goes on.
However, when we look at this scripture, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)...it may pose questions.
Specifically, how can “loss” of any kind or in any area be used by God for the Believers’ good?
What purpose could God possibly have for allowing the negative things to impact us so severely?
Well, when we understand that God’s ways are not like our ways, (Isaiah 55:8-9) we can be assured that He’s omnipotent (All powerful); He’s omnipresent (Everywhere); and He’s omniscient (All knowledge).
The Scripture says, “all things”; good, bad, easy, hard, everything we meet in life will eventually work for our benefit.
In chemistry, sodium alone will kill you. Chloride alone will kill you, but sodium and chloride together is salt and it adds flavor to our food. Our God is the greatest chemist of all. Only He can take good and bad and make great!
The bottom line is that we should just trust God in every area of our lives. He will always work it our for our good if we truly love Him.
CHALLENGE: Focus on God’s promises; they are yea and amen.
