Forgiving Self

April 21, 2021

Sometimes it’s easier to forgive others than to forgive self.

The Bible reminds us of this,  “For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.” 2 John 3:20

Truth is, our past failures have the ability to criticize, convict, and condemn causing us to feel unworthy, devalued, and unredeemable.

We must remember that God already knows all things—from our secret intentions to the condition of our soul and spirit. His extended arms are stretched outward and filled with compassion.

Just like we are required to forgive others for their wrong doing, we are also required to forgive ourselves.

The steps are simple (1) acknowledge the wrong (2) ask for forgiveness (3) apologize and repent.

Leave the past in the past, and move forward to greater things to come.

Ask God tho help you to forgive yourself.
