January 2022: Keeping it Real, for REAL—A New Year Self-Exam
Discipline. To some, discipline is a bad word. Truth is, our ability to establish goals and create appropriate timelines towards completing those goals demonstrate discipline.
Without discipline nothing gets done.
What is the last goal you set and met?
- Read a book
- Completed a project
- Met a financial marker
- Started and completed a class
Discipline and determination go hand in hand. When working towards becoming a better you, goal setting and hard work is needed to move to the next level. It won't be easy—nothing worth have is. But hard work pays off. Challenges build character. Well thought out plans reap tremendous benefits.
Proverbs 16:9 reminds us of this, “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.”
Allow the Lord to direct your way. Add some discipline and determination to your lifestyle. Become a goal setter. Be consistent and work hard to accomplish your goals.
