Love and Serve with Heart and Soul.
When you hear the term 'heart and soul' it usually refers to giving it all you’ve got or putting forth effort with every fiber of your being.
Deuteronomy 11:13-15 says this, ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’
In its own unique way, this scripture reminds us that when we love and serve God with every fiber of our being, giving Him all we’ve got, His blessings will flow.
The reference speaks not only to momentary blessings, but blessings upon blessings—over an extended period of time.
The verses speak to the rain providing nourishment and moisture promoting growth. The message proclaims the hope and future of seasons, harvests, and residual reward.
So, when we love and serve with heart and soul we reap exactly what we have sown—our best in return for God’s best.
Try giving God all you've got and see what happens.
