I See Dead People

The Story I Tell Myself

· Food For Thought,My Story,The Story I Tell

Truth is, everybody doesn’t have your best interest in mind. As much as we want to believe that all people are good—it’s not true.

Some will go out of their way to intentionally bring harm, sew discord, and cause division. The actions of these people are spiturally wicked. I call them “dead people”.

Voices of “dead people” are all around us. They smile in our face while stabbing us in the back. The Bible warns of the struggle we face with “dead people”.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us of this, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

The Voices in My Head: Dead People

If you’ve ever had conversations that seemed empty, vile, vulgar or fruitless, you just might have been living among the dead.

Though the struggle is spiritual, the hand-to-hand combat seems to be with those we face eye-to-eye and ear-to-ear.

Dead people will cause you to sink to their level and live below God’s standard. They have the capacity to infiltrate our mind and spirit and cause us to have stinking thinking.

The Story I Tell Myself must not be tainted by messages from “dead people”. Stay focused and don’t allow “dead people” to cause you to lose ground.

The Bible warns us about “dead people” and commands us to remove ourselves from dead things. Ephesians 6 admonishes us to us to know the truth, stand strong in faith, prepare ourselves in the Word of God, to arm ourselves in prayer, and to walk in peace.

Be on the look for for "dead people". Try the spirit by the spirit. Don't entertain them and don't receive their messages. Instead, pray for them and give them over to God.

Be sure that the voices in your head are not from messages from the spiritually dead.
