I love fresh cut flowers. I enjoy watching the process of a lily or a rose bud opening to full bloom. Knowing that there will only be a few days of beauty existence always makes me think about my purpose and life work.
Isaiah 40: 8 reminds us of this, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”
No matter how good we think we are, it’s never about us. Though we might have our own moment in the sun it always comes down to God, His greatness, and His accomplishments. Because God stands forever—He’s the only one who can or will.
Flowers are a simple reminder that we all have opportunity to be and to do our best. But don’t allow time to slip away. The window of opportunity has an expiration date.
So, live for the eternal. Set standards and make decisions for purposes that out live you.
Bloom where you are planted and give God the glory.
