Let Go and Let God

Mental Health Month

· Food For Thought,Mental Health

May is Mental Health month. Truth be told, our anxiety often gets the better of us when we allow the actions of others to plague us day after day, minute after minute.

For many of us, it’s time to Let Go and Let God. We must learn to stay in our own lanes by paying more attention to what we do than what others do. We must not allow the actions of others to continually bring us down.

Good, bad or indifferent, our actions are subject to the hand of God. That statement is true for you, me, and every other living soul. Actions that displease God will be dealt with by God.

Hebrews 10:30 reminds us of this, “For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”

Let Go and Let God. We should never take matters into our own hands by trying to get back at someone who has harmed us. God will handle them better than we ever could.

Let Go and Let God. Release them into the hands of God. Pray for them and ask God to show mercy.

Let Go and Let God. Allow your mind a chance to rest. Stop thinking about what other people are doing and focus on what you are doing.

Mental Health Month: Make the world around you work for your mental health:

Write down affirmations or notes that you can look at throughtout your day. Place them in your car or in your home to serve as reminders as you go about your day.
