September is “ME” month.
As we continue to lay our foundation for “ME” month, we must remember that prayer is an essential part of God’s process.
Prayer is our tool to access God. If you were a plumber, prayer would be your wrench. If you were a carpenter, prayer would be your hammer. If you were a doctor, prayer would be your stethoscope.
Psalm 69:13 reminds us of this, But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, in the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.
Just as any professional would be at a loss without their tools, we would also be at a loss without prayer.
Prayer is a tool—designed to draw us closer to God.
Earnest prayer understands that God has perfect timing. Sincere prayer sees God as a master of mercy. Fervent prayer is in seek of truth and understands that God is our everyday Savior.
As we continue “ME” month, we should consider the amount of time we allot for prayer. Our willingness to spend quality time in prayer will determine the extent to which our prayers will impact and develop a strong spiritual existence.
Prayer is a tool—use it to connect with God on a more intimate level and experience the fullness of HIs power.
