Romans 12:2 proclaims, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
The person we become is largely dependent upon what we feed our mind, what we allow ourselves to concentrate on, and the actions that follow our thought process. In many cases how we think will determine if we succeed or fail; if we win or lose; if we stand victoriously or fall defeatedly.
Truth is, most of the devil’s attacks challenge how we think or what we believe. The Bible is clear in that we can control the narrative, manage what and how we think changing our lives for the better.
Not sure where I heard it from, but I recall a quote that says " you cannot prevent a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop him from building a nest in your hair."
Challenge:
- Develop a daily routine that allows for inspiration and encouragement
- Meditate on positive thoughts...the Bible has plenty
- Make a conscious decision to dismiss negative and unproductive ideas
