How seriously do you take the scriptures?
Inspired by God, the Bible is more beneficial to us than any other book recorded in history. So much so that it cannot even be in the same category of any other writing since the beginning of time. Like none other, the Bible lives and breathes time past, present and future.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16
The Bible reveals truth. The Bible tells us about ourselves—the good, the bad, and the ugly. Even when we’re hell bent on going left, the Bible corrects, bids, and urges us to change course and head in the right direction. The Bible provides guidance and direction in doing what is right according to God’s standards, not yours, mine or the world’s.
God’s aim is to ensure that we are perfect and complete—not that we won’t make mistakes, but aligned according to God’s plan. The goal is that we see things from God’s perspective and walk in our God-given purpose.
