The Bible urges us to make our requests known unto God. And God’s response……
- Yes
- Wait
- I’ve got a better plan
Whenever we pray we must remember that God has a plan that perpetuates purpose. This plan is designed to impact our future and is not specific to us as an individual, but will always involve others.
So, along with taking our prayer requests to the Lord, we must also be opened to God's response. More so than anything, He desires to create an opportunity that allows us to draw closer to Him and to understand what's on His heart. Prayer is that opportunity.
Prayer is a two-way street. As we pray to God, we must in turn listen to what He has to say and understand that His perspective will always be more important than our personal desires.
Remember this, God always has our best interest in mind.
Philippians 4:6 reminds us....
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Father knows best…
Challenge:
- Establish routine prayer time with God
- Take time to listen to what God has to say
