Today is September 1st and I'm living outside of my comfort zone. For those of us who live in Southeast Louisiana, in one way or another life has changed—a bit for some and a lot for most.
For the entire month posts will review AWOGI’s 2021 theme, Mind Over Matter as a reminder to elevate our thought-life so that our mind transcends over and above matters of my day-to-day experiences. I really need this reminder right now.
Romans 12:2 reminds us of this, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Life events and social norms have the capacity to put us into an unlikely space or change us from becoming all that God has called us to be. If we're honest, some of us struggle with maintaining a consistent and Godly perspective.
This month, AWOGI posts will remind and encourage us to rely less on people, situations or circumstances and more on God. In the midst of challenging events God has a plan and purpose that overshadows and outshines what we see and experience.
So, when you find yourself outside of your comfort zone, know that God has opened the door to a brand new assignment. Wake up, stand up, and look up. Walk into this opportunity in hopes of renewed strength.
May the power of God grant you peace to live outside of your comfort zone, the courage to stay there and the wisdom to allow it to change you for the better.
