The “if…then” conditional statement is a statement with a hypothesis followed by a conclusion. The Bible is full of them.

Isaiah 48:18 reminds us of this, “Oh, that you had heeded commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.”

“If” we heed to God’s commands….”then” God would grant us peace like a river. The message is simple, straight forward, and to the point.

When we obey God, His aid resembles calmness—sweet peace. Peace Like A River.
