It's Mind Right Monday.... and if you feel like you just don't have it all together, this week's focus, Perfectly Imperfect is just for you.
Be it consciously or sub-consciously, many of us feel like we just don't measure up. Whether the standard is imposed—by her, him or them—or physiological the pressures to perfectly align can be torturous.
Look...
You are not perfect. Neither am I.
You make mistakes. So do I.
You will experience failure. So will I.
You won't be liked by everyone. I'm not.
Your best intentions will be interpreted as otherwise. So are mine.
Your body image won't match what seems to be acceptable. My surely does not.
Even when you want to do the right thing sometimes you will do just the opposite. Ditto for me.
Truth is... God doesn't expect us to be perfect—and His standards are the only ones that really matter. As a matter of fact, He made provisions because He knows we are imperfect.
So there, that makes us both perfect.... Perfectly IMPERFECT!
