Someone once told me that I was picky…. I took it as a compliment.
I hate those purchase online and pickup services…because I want to pick out my own stuff—my own meat, my own vegetables, and my own fruit.
I am picky and proud of it. I think the Virtuous Woman was picky too.
Proverbs 31:14-15 says this, “She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household, and a portion for her maid servants.”
Merchant ships were known for traveling far and wide to bring the best wares to places that only produced the mediocre. She didn’t buy anything and she didn’t serve anything to her family. She was picky!
I bet she felt the same way about the people she hung around too. Se wasn't filled with pride, she simply made sure to plant herself in cultivated ground.
