We are enormously blessed. When we think of blessings, most of us think about cars, homes, money, and career. Truth is spiritual blessings supersede all other blessings.
God’s blessings are limitless, but have you ever considered what God doesn’t give?
2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us of this, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Power, love, and a sound mind—all gifts that God gives. Fear, is not on the list.
While material blessings are important, walking in the spiritual blessings will always impact every other aspect of our lives.
Walking in fear is indicative of walking in the absence of God’s presence. Life is bound to bring challenging times. However God has promised to be near and to be our comfort.
Psalms 23 provides an account of a frightening experience and God’s covering, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
We must recognize what God gives (material and spiritual blessings) and be thankful for what He doesn't give (especially fear).
Walk in the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Walk with the Lord.
