Praise Maker

· Food For Thought,The Story I Tell,My Story

The word praise appears 259 times in the King James Bible version. In most cases, it is a command and reminder for us to praise God.

Not only is God worthy of our praise, it's said that He inhabits the praises of His people. If that's the case, our praises evoke God’s presence.

Genuine and unadulterated praise gets God’s attention. When our heart is in tune to God, we will hear His voice.

Psalms 95:6-8 reminds us of this, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion…”

I believe God is always speaking to us. Our position determines if we hear him or not. True praise and worship draws us closer to God and positions us to hear His voice more clearly.

Likewise, disobedience, hard-heartedness, and rebellion creates distance causing us to miss God's voice entirely.

Be A Praise Maker

Regardless of the situation give God the praise He deserves. Forget about yourself. Give glory and honor to the Lord, God our Maker. Soon, God’s still small voice will become clearer and more apparent.
