Prayer is our opportunity to grow.

Recently, I've become involved in a 6:00am women’s prayer line. For the most part, I've been a fly on the wall, listening to scriptures read, request made, and prayers offered on behalf of women and their families. What a blessing!

Just being in this space a couple times a week has motivated me to pray more in general and to prayer more for others. Our participation in corporate prayer is a wonderful experience that should encourage us to pray more and be better people.

James 5:15-16 says this, Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

When women pray, we encourage other women to pray. When women pray, we touch the heart of God on behalf of the needs of others. When women pray, we join a sisterhood of like minds in one accord. When women pray we support and inspire each other to move closer towards God; to bow down before the Lord; and lay our burdens at the feet of our King.

Prayer is our opportunity to grow closer to God. Our prayers should not only result in physical, tangible blessings, they should also result in a spiritual change, impacting the condition of our heart causing to be more obedient to God. These are the changes that lay a firm foundation for our spiritual development.

When women pray, we hold each other accountable to grow in grace and walk in victory. Let's Keep Praying!
