Woman with the Issue of Blood

· Food For Thought

Sometimes, the paralytic affects of fear prevent us from stepping out and stepping up towards deliverance.

Maybe it’s because we focus too much on what people will think or say. Could be that we lack courage and support.

Truth is, people are going to talk regardless and the folk who you think are on your side, sometimes are not.

This woman, along with the incurable disease and the fear, continued to press forward regardless of the obstacles.

Because of her illness, she was considered to be unclean and should not have been amongst the general population. That didn’t stop her.

In those days, it was considered unacceptable for a woman to approach a man. That didn’t stop her either. She pressed her way through the crowd and b-lined straight for Jesus.

For her efforts…

Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. (Matthew 9:22)

Recognizing her humility, Jesus acknowledges her faith and her willingness to press her way through. I bet she thought something like this, "Finally, someone has noticed me for more than what I have become, a poor, sickly woman." And just like that, healed!

So, whatever you may be going through, I say:

Don't worry.

Be encourage.

Cheer up.

Press forward.....All Is WELL!
