Is the Word of God Still Applicable?

Man was created for purpose—God's Purpose!

The very heart of God desires that we seek Him, obey Him, and worship Him.  John 1:1 declares that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God."

So, if God hasn't changed, neither has His Word. What was relevant and applicable yesterday is still relevant and applicable today.

Truth is, somethings we neglect, don't read, and refuse to hear God's Word.

Jeremiah 13:10-11 says this:

This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who follow the dictates of their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash which is profitable for nothing. For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the Lord, ‘that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear."

When we cling to the Words of God, we cling to God. When we read and medititate on what the Bible says, we put ourselves in position to hear from God and to walk in our God-given purpose.

When we don't acknowledge or respond to God's Word we may look good, feel pretty, and smell  sweet on the outside, but from God's persoective, we are ready with no place to go.

Regardless of what men might say, the Words of God remains to be a source of all that is pure, right, just and from the very heart of God.

2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Let's trust God enough to actually do what His Word tells us to do.
