See That We Do Better

· Food For Thought

This week's posts are dedicated to encouraging us to do better in regards to our treatment of one another.

As sisters let's unit together. Let's not judge a book by it's cover.  Let's not be so quick to jump to any conclusions about our fellow sisters.  Let's be willing to forgive instead of delivering vial treament in return.

None of us are perfect, and we all make mistakesyes, that includes me too.

Today, we take a look at into our own line of sight.

Matthew 7:2-4 reminds us of this,  For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?

Too often we are quick to see the ills of another person's actions and miss our own.

This scripture reminds us that our own heart and mind has the capacity to produce vial intent and devlish behavior that we won't recognize as such.

Before you atempt to point out the wrongdoing of your sister, take a step back and ask God to reveal your own weaknesses, mistakes, transgressions, and bad behavior.

Before going to your sister about her conduct, check yourself.

Then, make every attempt to correct you, ask for forgiveness, and move forward in humility.

Let's see to it that we do better...
