Seeds of Christmas Past
By painting a clear picture of the Christmas celebration (The Birth of Christ), “Seeds of Christmas Past” will:
- Testify of God’s wondrous love for mankind
- Magnify the scarlet thread (Jesus Christ) which binds Old Testament history with New Testament salvation
- Arouse the consciousness of God’s intent to use mankind in carrying out His plan
- Encourage us to make ourselves more available to God for His work
The Prophecy: Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Prophecy Fulfilled: Matthew 1:20-21a
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son.
- Immanuel means “God with us” (Matt. 1:23)
- Conceive means to become pregnant
- A Prophecy is a prediction of the future, made under divine inspiration
- Prophecy reveals that which would otherwise remain hidden
The life of Jesus Christ will brighten your future. Let's take time to remember the purpose for His coming by reminding ourselves of the provision in His past.
