It's Mind Right Monday.... Time for Self-Care Recap.

You Matter.... Consider the contents of your emotional cup:

  • Is your cup full, empty or overflowing?
  • Does your cup contain joy, peace, love, and happiness?
  • Does your cup contain depression, anxiety, financial hardship or sickness?

Events in our lives can sometimes create overwhelming circumstances that challenge us to remain joyful and grateful.

Our October AWOGI session "Self-Care and Crisis Prevention" provided information and encouragement that challenged us to:

  • Recognize that we are human "beings" not human "doing"
  • Change our perspective and change our life
  • Forgive ourselves and forgive others
  • Extend ourselves a little grace
  • Develop a meaninful hobby
  • Be in the present moment
  • Develop positive self-talk
  • Walk in Faith
  • Get exercise
  • Serve others
  • Be resilient
  • Be mindful
  • Be grateful
  • Be steady
  • Say no

There are some things in our lives that we cannot do anything about. There are other matters that we can take into our own hands.

You Matter.... Consider the contents of your emotional cup and practice caring for ourselves first.
