Social Media: Helpful...Harmful...

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat are examples of the social media craze.

IPhones, IPads, Tablets, and Laptops are all means by which we access information, connect with people, and entertain ourselves. From infants to seniors—everyone is attached to some sort of social media apparatus.

Surely, there are great benefits to having information at our fingertips and being able to communicate with family and friends who are far away. Truth is, I can't help but wonder what toll these new opportunities are placing on us as human beings.

And I refuse to even consider how much time and money the average person spends on gadgets, aps, and streams. The thought of all this makes my head spin.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure were to begin with coming up with a scripture for this one.

Ecclesiastes 8:5b says, “a wise man’s heart discerns both time and judgment.”

In all things, we must give God honor. Be wise and monitor the amount of time you spend on anything or anyone other than God.
