Fridays are FABULOUS!
Nurses are FABULOUS too!
AWOGI Salutes Nurses who sacrifice so much to care for so many.
For decades, “Nurses Week” has been widely recognized across the United States annually during the month of May (May 5th – May 12th). Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, this week-long memorable occasion has been known to be filled with festivities and recognition of nurses and the amazing work that they do. Similarly, Florence Nightingale, an early pioneer of nursing, is remembered for her contribution to the profession of nursing as she planted seeds that have been largely responsible for what nursing was, and what it has become.
Within the profession of nursing there are numerous roles and unlimited settings from which a nurse may represent. Hats off to nurses for paving the roads of success by use of best practices for better health and outcomes for those they serve!
A Tribute to nurses all over the world by Dr. Karen Jackson:
“Thankful for Nurses”
When stricken with illness or any health ailment,
and it seems like it’s too much for one to bare.
God will lovingly send a nurse, designed specific for your circumstance,
who will assist, support, and provide for your care.
Our nurses are like angels whose calling is from above,
On earth constantly spreading their wings covering those who are sick
With acts of kindness, compassion, and love!
Thank God for our nurses as they’re often the voice of reason
As they’re known for explaining things to families when doctors are not there,
And gently holding the hands of weary patients, and showing how much they care.
Nurses are known for multitasking, navigating, and organizing,
Being critical thinkers, innovative, skillful, resourceful, and known for improvising,
They’re incredible counselors who effortlessly pass on information
With their dedication being endless, more so than not, exceeding our expectations!
Thank God and always be thankful for nurse...
