Fridays are FABULOUS.... and so is a Mother's Care.
As Mother's Day approaches, we take this opportunity to thank mothers for caring for us. This poem, Under Your Wings was written by my great neice Teren Livas in honor of her mother (Karen Powell).
Under Your Wings
You took my heart for safe keeping,
I didn’t even have to ask.
Before you even knew me, my mind, or my heart.
You were up for the task.
You kissed me, loved me, held me,
hugged me- as most good mothers do.
I’ve never had to question, ever,
If your love is true.
As graceful as the cat that walks,
Or the canary that sings, if only you knew
The true elegance your presence brings.
Forever and always, I’ll remain under your wings.
