Be Strong in the Lord 6:10-13
In order to be prepared for 2020, we must realize that God has a great plan for our lives and the devil is hell-bent on distracting us from greatness. Yes, we are at war! Truth is, the opposing army is invisible. People, situations, and circumstances are not our enemy. Our ability to overcome obstacles and the devil's tricks will require spiritual preparation, planning, and perseverance.
Put on the Whole Armor of God 6:14-17
Walking in our ordained purpose will not be easy. Stand strong and keep the faith. God has provided the necessary tools needed to win.
Stay Focused...
Each article of our spiritual wardrobe is designed to help us defend ourselves against attack. After reviewing each garment, consider possible wardrobe malfunctions.
- The Belt of Truth: My Integrity (Am I really who I say I am?)
- The Breastplate of Righteousness: A Call to Purity (Are my efforts to do "the right thing" based on God's standard or my own?)
- The Gospel (Shoes) of Peace: My Walk (Am I living at peace with myself, others, and God?)
- The Shield of Faith: Stand Firm (Do I really believe what I say I believe?)
- The Helmet of Salvation: Protecting My Mind (Do I maintain a Godly thought life?)
- The Sword of the Spirit: Trusting in God's Word (Do I read, meditate on, and obey God's word as much as I should?)
Keep Praying..... 6:18
When we pray, we talk to God. Just like time spent with our best girlfriend, we can share our thoughts, concerns, and ask any question. We should spend a quiet moment with God on a daily basis. If you are too busy to pray.....you are TOO BUSY!
Challenge:
- Implement a Workable Plan of Defense (Bible Study/Meditation and Prayer)
- Be Consistent
- Don't Give Up
