Today, we encourage you to take a few minutes to evaluate the state of your physical and mental health. As women, we are often the primary care givers for our immediate family members—many times to the detriment of our own health. Grant yourself the opportunity to think about YOU!
Be mindful of you EVERYDAY! Carve out some time to sit and consider your personal well-being.
First, seriously assess your physical condition. If you are taking any medications, analyze the status of your illness and report any concerns to your physician immediately. Don't wait until tomorrow, do it TODAY!
Next, to the best of your ability, consider your mental health condition. Are you overly anxious or worrying excessively? Do you have difficulty sleeping at night or do you prefer to sleep most of the time? if either of these conditions exist, you should consider talking to your physician. Don't wait until tomorrow, do it TODAY!
When we consider our health, we must also consider diet and exercise. Just as healthy eating and getting proper exercise can play important roles in improving our health, likewise too much sugar and sitting down all day may cause our health to suffer. Make a commitment to yourself eat healthier, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly. Don't wait until tomorrow, start TODAY!
Finally, If you have any concerns regarding your physical or mental health, please consult your physician as soon as possible. Make sure to schedule and keep regular doctor appointments and communicate everything that you are experiencing.
