Big city, small town or anything else in between, each of us have an opportunity to be used by God to make an impression on the lives of others.
The Bible's reference of John chapter 4 reminds us of a woman’s influence on the city of Samaria. 39And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because ofthe word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” 42Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
Today’s example of influence is that of a woman who met Jesus at a well in the city of Samaria. Her encounter with Jesus was no happenstance.
Their paths crossed in the middle of the day, a time when most women’s well duties would have been completed. This factor—which was confirmed during her conversation with Jesus—revealed that she was likely an outcast.
Though she had a dark past, meeting Jesus shed light on her present circumstances and changed her future. Once exposed, she was open to the Messiah’s message and to His deliverance.
Thank you “Well Woman” for your influence and sharing the message about Jesus to the entire town. This proves that anyone can be saved and everyone can share the Good News of Christ.
Let's make sure to influence our community—big city or small town—in the ways of God.
