Visiting your local African American Museum is an excellent way to learn more about Black History in your local area.

River Road African American Museum (RRAAM) is located in Donaldsonville, Louisiana which is about 10 minutes from my home.

RRAAM's Mission:

To educate visitors about the history and culture of African Americans in the rural communities of south Louisiana through the collection, preservation, and interpretation of art, artifacts, and historic buildings.
