Last weekend, more than 40 women joined me on the journey towards becoming A Woman of Godly Influence.
The first AWOGI Women’s Retreat featured topics that encouraged us to examine the condition of our Spiritual Health, our Physical Health and our Mental Health. Our foundation and basis—The Word of God!
Psalms 119:105 reminds us of this…
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”
For those of us who have committed to the Christian life, God’s word is the ultimate authority and should be referred to on a regular basis. We should utilize the Bible as the compass for all of our decisions, the foundation for all of our actions, and the road map for our direction. Failure to do so will result in consequences that lead to devastation and disappointment.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever more....
Believe it or not, the Bible is filled with personal, real life situations of men and women that provide insight on what happens when we say “Yes” to God and what happens when we say “No.” We should view the events of their lives as examples that are still relevant and pertinent for today’s society.
So, if you are guilty of not reading, studying or meditating on God’s word on a regular basis, stay tuned for this week’s entries from the AWOGI Blog. You will find a few tips that just might motivate you to become more intentional.
