It hasn't been that long ago since exams were a part of my everyday existence.
While we might think the exam season of our lives is over—not true. The Bible encourages us to examine ourselves to see whether we are in the faith.
"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? --unless indeed you fail to meet the test. (2 Corinthians 13:5)
We should test our actions, articulation and our attitude on a regular basis. Take yesterday for example, did you Pass or did you Fail? Do you say something to offend someone, blatantly disregard someone's feelings, lie, steal, or cheat? Would you grade yourself with an A or a B?
It's easy to point our finger at other people's faults but difficult to see and acknowledge our own.
Living Above "SEE" Level requires that we take a good look in the mirror, recognize the needed adjustments, and make every effort toward SEEING ourselves from God's perspective and not based on our own standards.
Challenge:
- Examine your action and motives on a regular basis
- Ask God's forgiveness when necessary
- Ask the offended person's forgiveness as well
