Oh Be Careful Little Ears What You Hear

The Story I Tell Myself

February 9, 2023

Most of you will remember this children's church song, “Oh be careful little eyes what you see; Oh, be careful little ears what your hear; Oh, be careful little hands what you do; Oh, be careful little feet where you go…for the Father up above is looking down with love, so be careful little feet where you go…

Truth is, what our eye sees and our ear hears will lead us to what our hands will do and where our feet will go.

As we conclude The Story I Tell Myself (Voices in My Head), we must be sure to decipher between the multitude of voices we hear in order to follow the ONE who always leads with purposeful intent.

Our own voice can be deceiving. The voice of others can lead us astray. But the voice of Jesus will never lead us wrong.

In John chapter 10:27, Jesus declares that, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

Be sure you know Jesus Christ. More importantly, be sure Jesus Christ knows you. When Jesus Christ knows us we will hear His voice and we will allow Him to guide us in and throughout our lives.

Knowing Jesus Christ comes through an intimate relationship with Him. Knowing Christ and accepting Him as Savior and Lord is part of God's plan for saving us from eternal damanation.

Be careful of what kind of information you allow to enter into your mind and spirit. Be careful of the messages you meditate on. Be even more careful about who you follow.

Listen to Jesus Christ, the Savior and prepare yourself to follow Him and walk in His ways.
