Proverbs 31 is a mother’s words to her son about becoming an honorable man and finding a virtuous woman.

Ladies, we too can learn amazing lessons from the king's mother. Simply put, her words provide insight on becoming a wife worth her weight in gold, a mother to be treasured, and a Godly example. Married or not, it would benefit us well to take heed.

Let’s aim our sights on the characteristics, qualities, and attributes of Proverbs 31:10-31, The Good Wife:

Her Relationship with God

• Seeks God’s perspective and lives according to biblical standards
• Teaches all that is good and acceptable to the Lord
• Speaks with wisdom, insight, and inspiration
• Service oriented

Her Relationship with her Family

• Treats her husband well (with honor and respect)
• Puts her husband and family first
• Trustworthy companion
• Doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty

Her Attitude about Life

• Manages time and money well
• A reputation for excellence
• Innovative and entrepreneurial spirit
• Professional, poised, and prudent

Challenge:

• Read Proverbs 31:10-31
• Consider at least one characteristic of the Virtuous Woman
• Aim to walk in it
