Be Wise. Walk in Faith...Not Fear!
As the COVID-19 national health crisis continues to unfold, we must be reasonable and prayerful while exercising safety first. That being said, health experts are urging individuals to do the following:
- Take the coronavirus seriously (in the United States there are more than 6000 confirmed cases; and 100 deaths)
- Do not panic; and stay prepared by listening to national updates and/or seeking guidance from local health advisories
- Take precautions by avoiding large crowds and/or gatherings whenever possible
- Wash your hands with “soap and water” frequently; and use an alcohol based hand sanitizer as a back up
- Avoid close contact “social distancing” with anyone who is allegedly ill with the common cold or flu-like symptoms
- Maintain a healthy diet and stay hydrated
- Adhere to your medical provider’s recommendations regarding quarantining if warranted
It’s important for all individuals to be aware of common symptoms of COVID-19 which include: FEVER, DRY COUGH, FATIGUE, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, AND MUSCLE ACHES whereas atypical symptoms may include a sore throat, runny nose, and diarrhea.
It is suspected that 80 percent of those who contract the virus do not experience debilitating health effects whereas 20 percent incur severe symptoms which may lead to hospitalization and/or death.
FYI… many hospitals are implementing frontline screening of its employees, patients and visitors. Do not take offense, and exercise increased understanding of established policies that support preventing further transmission of the disease.
The road less traveled …
- Be prayerful and give thanks to God for everything!
- Encourage others to exercise safety first
- Be your brothers and/or sister’s keeper
- Smile and be polite during these uncertain times… WWJD
